Overview
Hibrahim Otieno Nyakach is a Kenyan public servant, politician, and community development advocate currently serving as the County Chief Officer of Health, Nairobi City County Government. Before joining the Nairobi County Executive, Hibrahim made his mark in the public health and governance sectors, where he has been instrumental in implementing key reforms aimed at strengthening community health systems and promoting preventive healthcare. Away from work, Hibrahim is a football and athletics enthusiast and a supporter of both local and international sporting initiatives. He believes in sports as a unifying and empowering tool for the youth.

MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
2014 – Beginning of Public Service
Appointed as an Environment Officer under the Embakasi Sub-County administration, focusing on waste management and urban beautification.
Led several successful environmental awareness drives, improving sanitation in key estates and markets across Embakasi.
Fostered strong partnerships with local youth groups and community-based organizations (CBOs) to promote environmental stewardship and civic responsibility
2015 – Assistant Director – Environment, Nairobi City County
(Managing 17 Constituencies in Nairobi County)
Promoted to Assistant Director – Environment, overseeing environmental operations across all 17 constituencies of Nairobi County.
Launched the “Clean and Green Nairobi” Initiative, integrating tree planting with youth employment and sustainable waste programs.
Initiated mentorship programs empowering young environmental officers and community volunteers to lead local action plans.
2016 – Acting Director – Environment, Nairobi City County

Appointed Acting Director – Environment, providing strategic direction for county-wide waste management, greening, and public health programs.
